Celebrating 75 years of India’s independence and NISAU’s 10th anniversary

The NISAU is celebrating both the 75th anniversary of India’s independence as well as our 10th anniversary in 2022. We’ll be running a series of events and activities as part of our celebrations.

S. Y. Quraishi served as the 17th Chief Election Commissioner of India between 2010 and 2012. He was the first Muslim to hold the position. Dr Quraishi has been vocal about rising attacks against Muslims in India. His new book, The Population Myth : Islam, Family Planning and Politics in India, published in 2021 by HarperCollins reveals how the right-wing creates false narratives by misrepresenting demographic trends.
