Perspective, an initiative by NISAU UK, is Britain’s leading forum for meaningful engagement with and about India. Launched in October 2017 by MP Virendra Sharma, it is an a-political and a-religious platform founded on the principles of Engage | Enable | Empower.
In August 2018, the annual India Perspective townhall was introduced at the London School of Economics, featuring keynote speaker Rahul Gandhi, President of the Indian National Congress.
The 2019 townhall will be held on 23rd October at King’s College London, featuring Dr. Raghuram Rajan, former RBI Governor, and Sam Pitroda, technology entrepreneur and philanthropist.
The discussion will explore the relevance of Gandhi’s philosophy to today’s economic and business challenges, including sustainable development, the impact of AI on employment, managing workplace diversity, and the principle of economic self-reliance. As we celebrate the 150th anniversary of Gandhi’s birth, his vision for dignity and prosperity is more relevant than ever.
