NISAU Welcomes You All

We are the leading UK organization representing students, alumni, and young professionals of Indian origin. As an umbrella body for India-related student societies in the UK, we aim to unify the voice of India’s diaspora youth, promote Indian culture, and strengthen the UK-India relationship through a dynamic, youth-led leadership ecosystem.

NISAU collaborates with various governmental and non-governmental organizations to advance the UK-India educational partnership. Many Indian students in the UK have become global leaders, and we aim to empower this young diaspora to contribute to India’s socio-economic development. We nurture them as India’s brand ambassadors, showcasing India’s strengths and opportunities worldwide.

We also bridge gaps within the Indian diaspora, uniting youth across the UK and India, regardless of nationality. With a pan-UK presence and a team in India, NISAU was rebranded in 2016 to better reflect the evolving Indian student community in the UK.

I am so thankful to NISAU for handholding me and the entire Indian student community in UK during what was the most horrifying and terrible experience for us all trapped thousand of mail away from home in our little rooms and unable to go back home - if it weren't for NISAU I would have starved and suffered depression. During my time as President of the LSE SU India Society, I had the opportunity to collaborate with NISAU, particularly during the LSE SU India Forum. NISAU’s support was instrumental in organizing key events, including the conference and initiatives at the High Commission in London. NISAU made living in a new country easier by offering support, answering questions, and helping me adapt. NISAU has engaged with key stakeholders in education, culture, and India-UK relations, including the UK Foreign Office, Indian High Commission, and London Mayor's Office. We've collaborated with diplomats and policymakers to empower young Indians. Our work led to NISAU's invitation to represent students at Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2017. Our Policy and Partnerships team has tirelessly driven awareness campaigns and research to help students make informed decisions.
